DDB Contracting has completed a ground up luxury retail build for Alfieri Property Management, delivering a 25,000 square foot storefront integrated into the Highline development in Manhattan, NY.
The luxury retail build covered both exterior and interior scope on an active city block, which meant coordinating lift access, traffic patterns, and pedestrian flow throughout construction. Add in the logistical challenges of working outdoors through winter weather, and the ground up project demanded a level of planning and adaptability that goes beyond a typical retail buildout. Despite all of that, DDB Contracting kept the project on schedule from start to finish.
Alfieri Property Management oversees a portfolio of properties across the New York area, with a focus on delivering high quality retail and commercial spaces in some of the city’s most active corridors. The Highline location placed this project squarely in one of Manhattan’s most visible and high traffic areas, raising the stakes for both construction logistics and the finished product.
“Working on an active block in Manhattan through winter comes with its share of complexity,” said Eric Albanese, CEO of DDB Contracting. “Our team handled every curveball the conditions threw at us and still delivered for Alfieri on time. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.”
As Alfieri Property Management continues to grow its presence in high profile retail corridors, DDB Contracting looks forward to supporting future projects that call for the same level of coordination and attention to detail.
