DDB Contracting has just completed a full mezzanine renovation for Amerlux, a leading architectural lighting manufacturer and subsidiary of Delta Electronics.
The 4,000 square foot mezzanine, located at Amerlux’s headquarters in Oakland, New Jersey, supports the company’s continued growth as a specification grade lighting provider serving architects, designers, and facility managers. Amerlux has been shaping the architectural lighting industry since 1984.
Over the course of 12 weeks, DDB delivered a complete reconfiguration of the existing mezzanine layout under a design build approach, managing design direction and construction execution under one team. The renovation required careful sequencing throughout, as work proceeded inside a fully occupied building alongside Amerlux’s daily operations, and additionally demanded close coordination between design decisions and cost control to meet tight budgetary constraints. Managing design and construction under one team kept design decisions and construction scheduling moving together throughout the project, helping keep the renovation on track despite the demands of working inside an active facility.
“We’re proud to have delivered a workspace that keeps pace with how Amerlux’s team operates today,” said Eddie Albanese, Senior Vice President West of DDB Contracting. “Projects like this reflect the kind of design build partnership we bring to clients across U.S., even under real constraints of budget, schedule, and an active work environment.”
As Amerlux continues to grow its presence in the lighting industry, DDB Contracting is proud to support that growth through thoughtful, high-performance construction solutions. The completed mezzanine gives Amerlux a modernized space built to serve its team for years to come.
